Ana Raquel Calapez, holds a PhD in River Restoration and Management by the ISA-University of Lisbon (2020), and works in the area of Natural Sciences with emphasis on Freshwater Biology and Ecology. She has been collaborating in several R&D projects related to ecological quality assessment and monitoring of freshwater ecosystems, with expertise in aquatic invertebrates sampling and taxonomy. She is specialized in anthropogenic impacts and their interactions (multiple stressors) on stream biota, including macroinvertebrates and biofilms, ecosystem processes and services, with a special focus in urban streams. She has broad experience in laboratory and field manipulative approaches under these contexts. Currently she is a Junior Researcher at University of Coimbra, Department of Life Sciences & MARE/ARNET (2022.05940.CEECIND/CP1714/CT0005). She is the Principal Investigator in the Project EDURRIO (MARE minigrant through FCT funding). She has been involved in science communication projects as well, and is a team member of the Citizen Science project CresceRio. Published 23 articles in international scientific journals and 1 book chapter (h-index 12). She has participated in national and international congresses with 33 communications (oral and posters) and has received 1 award for best poster presentation as a PhD student. In her professional activities interacted with 84 collaborators in co-authorship of scientific papers.
