Ivette Pacheco Leyva has a multidisciplinary education: a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering (UV, Mexico), a Master's degree in Biochemistry (UNAM, Mexico) and a PhD in Biomedical Sciences completed in 2015 at Universidade do Algarve at the Centro de Investigação em Biomedicina in Portugal. Has acquired experience on the related field of oncobiology, postdoctoral fellow the Intercellular Communication and Cancer research group of i3S (Porto, Portugal), where she is currently working on leukemic thymic microenvironment. This diverse scientific training (oncobiology, stem cell biology, immunology and bioengineering) presents useful tools to address any question. Published 11 articles in journals. Has published 1 section of scientific book and author in 1 outreach book. Co-supervised 1 MSc dissertation. Supervisor of 2 Master student. Laboratory instructor of 4 Bachelors and 4 Master students. Has received 11 awards and/or honours. Has 2 Participation as in evaluation committee of Postdoctoral scholarships, Mexico. Participates and/or participated as Post-doc in 5 project(s), Post-doc Fellow in 2 project(s), PhD Student Fellow in 2 project(s) and Research Fellow in 1 project(s).
