Rui Tavares (RT) is an Assistant Professor from the University of Minho. He completed his PhD in Sciences (Biology) in University of Minho (1996) and Graduation in Biology in University of Lisbon (1986). RT published 54 papers in peer-reviewed journals and 4 book chapters, presenting his results in international and national meetings (>150, not discriminated here). He supervised 9 PhD theses and 5 MSc thesis already concluded. RT participates and/or participated as Principal investigator in 4 projects and as Researcher in other 15 projects. RT has been working in the area of Agrarian Sciences with emphasis on Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. He has been focused on plant stress responses, abiotic and biotic plant stresses and more recently in plant-microbe interactions..
