PhD student in Communication Sciences - Communication and Arts, at the FCSH, Universidade Nova de Lisboa, and a scholarship holder of the EUTOPIA Alliance Programme (NOVA/FCT/CY CERGY PARIS). Member of ICNOVA, Culture, Mediation and the Arts Research Group and the Photo Impulse Project. With artistic training in dance and theatre, she is an actress-performer, author and director, graduated in Anthropology from ISCTE-IUL (2017) and develops different art education projects for children. Activist Human rights, anti-racist, has written and published articles in different media in Portugal and in Brazil. As a PhD student of the EUTOPIA Alliance Programme (FCT/NOVA/CY CERGY PARIS), she is part of UMR 9022 Héritages : Culture/s, Patrimoine/s, Création/s - a multi-tutelle laboratory supported by CY Cergy Paris Université, CNRS and the French Ministry of Culture. She is part of the curatorial team of the exhibition The Photographic Impulse (un) Tidying up the Colonial Archive - Photo Impulse Project / ICNOVA / MUHNAC - Portugal. She is artistically residing at MUHNAC - Museum of Natural History and Science / University of Lisbon - Portugal, as part of her doctoral research "Performance(s) Calico bedspread: Black Women and Their Reverberations. Auto-ethnography and practice-based research". Main areas of interest: research based on artistic creation, disciplinary crossings, autoethnography, gender, communication, decolonial thinking and visual culture.
