Mrs. Dina Silva finished her graduation in marine sciences- field of oceanography and fisheries, at Lusófona University in 2008. She has been working since then at CENTEC (Centre for Marine Technology and Ocean Engineering), funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology, in the marine environment group. Her research area is the study of wave climate and waves energy resources using the third-generation spectral wave model SWAN (Simulating Waves Nearshore) simulations. Her work through these years has been published in 9 journal papers, wherein 5 of them she is the first author, 11 book chapters (presented at International Conferences) and 5 Conference proceedings. One of her papers as first author won the Energies 10th anniversary best paper, due to be a Highly Cited Paper in the Web of Science from 2014 to 2017 (109 citations in WoS).
