I'm a PhD student, in ABC-RI, Faculty of Medicine and Biomedical Science at University of Algarve, with a project call ALFA-Score. I had an undergrad in Biology (overall score of 13) from the Faculty of Sciences and Technology, University of Algarve since 2015 and a Master degree in Molecular Biology and Microbiology (overall score of 16) obtained at the University of Algarve in 2018. I developed my master thesis under the supervision of Prfª Drª. Maria Leonor Faleiro, entitled "Bacteroides species in children with type 1 diabetes" with classification 18. During this period, I gained considerable experience in methods of: - molecular biology like PCR, qPCR, DNA cloning, bacteria transformation methods; and microbiology. I also did a project in the undergrad under the supervision of Profª Drª. Maria Leonor Faleiro, entitled "Exoproteoma de células Caco-2 expostas a água fecal" with classification 18. During this period, I gained considerable experience in methods of: molecular biology like protein extraction, SDS-Page, Antimicrobial analysis, microbiology and some bioinformatics analysis. In parallel, I have been disseminating my research by publishing a paper as an author, entitled "Insights from Bacteroides Species in Children with Type 1 Diabetes" (doi: 10.3390/microorganisms9071436) and presenting posters in meetings/conferences as an author (2 poster) or co-author (5 posters). To enrich my scientific knowledge, I participated in 4 conferences.
