I hold a PhD in Sociology from Iscte, Instituto Universitário de Lisboa, funded by FCT (SFRH/BD/43455/2008). My research focused on the discourse surrounding body and identity in the works of two Portuguese artists. Throughout my academic journey, I have developed my skills in research methodologies and advanced studies in sociology with a specialisation in data analysis (2009). Since then, I have published several papers in national and international journals as a sole and co-author and participated in scientific meetings and events. Professionally, I have also been involved in several science management and dissemination activities, including being a part of the research committee RC54-The body in the social sciences of the International Sociological Association, since 2010; I am now a board member. I worked as a visiting professor at the Faculty of Education, Arts and Humanities of the National University of Timor-Leste and on science and technology management activities funded by FCT (UID/CED/04107/2016). I worked as a researcher on the project “Biographical Echoes: Triangulation in the Study of Life Histories”, funded by FCT (PTDC/SOC-SOC/29117/2017), at Cies-Iscte-IUL, which was focused on developing biographical research methods. I currently work in research management at “VAX-ACTION: tackling effectively vaccine hesitancy in Europe” at IHMT, NOVA Lisbon University. This project has received funding from the European Union’s EU4H programme (under Grant Agreement No.101133273). Lately (June 2023), I completed my master’s in Cognitive Science at the University of Lisbon. My work revolves around social sciences and humanities, research management, and the exact sciences with a focus on statistics, and my research interests include the body and identity, discourse, biographies, social processes, and social change, besides technologies, emotions, and cognition.
