I have completed a Masters and Phd within the field of Marine Sciences with a focus in Fisheries. My current key skills include Fisheries Science: Management & Sustainability, Technology; Software: PRIMER & Permanova +, Microsoft (Excel, Powerpoint, etc.), QGiS. R and Inkscape. I have contributed to multiple ICES reports in the last year, as well as preparing technical reports for the TECPESCAS national project from IPMA. I have prepared posters for Encontro Ciência and the MirPuri Foundation (ICRI Ocean Award). I have presented my works regarding TECPESCAS and TramSel at a workshop for TECPESCAS in Peniche ("TecPescas: Principais Pescarias Algarve"), in the 8th World Fisheries Congress ("Fishers, tell us what you¿re working with!"), in the 2021 ICES WGFTFB annual meeting ("Fishing Sepia Officinalis with Modified Trammel Nets: Is Greca the Answer to By-catch?"), the 2023 SAFET Conference ("Protecting essential fish habitats: net modifications in trammel net fisheries off the Portuguese coast.") and was a finalist in EXPO Fish Portugal 2023 award ("Levantando a rede"). Finally, I have created a school project "From Sea to Plate" in which I present to students the process in which catch is brought to their plates with an activity that is adaptable to students from ages 5 to 18.
