Rosália Sá

Rosália Sá graduated in 2004 with a Biology degree from the University of Aveiro and in 2021 with a Basic Health Sciences degree from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP). Rosália is currently attending the last semester of the Integrated Masters in Medicine (M.D.) at FMUP. Additionally, she holds a doctorate (Ph.D.) in Biomedical Sciences from the Instituto de Ciências Biomédicas Abel Salazar (ICBAS) of the University of Porto (U.Porto). Rosália initiated her academic career in 2007 at ICBAS-U.Porto, where she is currently an Assistant Professor. In 2007, she also joined the Unit for Multidisciplinary Investigation in Biomedicine (UMIB) / Laboratory for Integrative and Translational Research in Population Health (ITR). Her current research interests include: i) fertility preservation; ii) primary ciliary dyskinesia; iii) human reproduction oncological toxicology; iv) Klinefelter syndrome and v) human oocyte dysmorphisms, with a focus on the zona pellucida. Rosália authored 12 book chapters and 105 papers in specialist publications; organized 7 activities; supervised/co-supervised 13 master's thesis and 1 doctoral thesis; 13 projects for undergraduate and bachelor's degrees; is editor of 2 special issues for two international peer-reviewed journals; and is a reviewer for hundreds of international and national peer-reviewed journal, having reviewed hundreds of manuscripts. She was honored with 19 awards, including from Ordem dos Médicos; Liga Portuguesa Contra o Cancro - Núcleo Regional do Norte; Sociedade Portuguesa da Medicina da Reprodução e Universidade do Porto. She took part in 6 projects as a doctoral fellow, 10 as a researcher, and more than 20 as a principal investigator/coordinator. At the moment, her h-index is 21.
