Jorge Manuel de Sousa Basto Vieira completed the PhD in Ciências Biomédicas in 1997 at the Universidade do Porto Instituto de Ciências Biomédicas Abel Salazar. He is Principal Investigator at the Universidade do Porto - Instituto de Biologia Molecular e Celular and i3S - Instituto de Investigação e Inovação em Saúde.
