Luis Mendes trabalha na Universidade da Beira Interior (Portugal) como professor auxiliar nas áreas de Gestão da Qualidade Gestão da Produção e das operações. Doutorou-se em Gestão pela Universidade da Beira Interior, após uma participação anterior no Programa Europeu de Doutoramento em Empreendedorismo e Gestão de Pequenas Empresas (em Barcelona – Espanha e Växjö – Suécia). Os seus recentes interesses de investigação incluem o papel geral das partes interessadas na gestão da qualidade, a abordagem estratégica de Recursos Humanos na gestão da mudança e na gestão de serviços públicos, a gestão da qualidade e o seu papel na sustentabilidade. As suas atividades de investigação têm sido desenvolvidas no Centro de Estudos Avançados em Gestão e Economia (CEFAGE-UBI), Covilhã, Portugal. Luis Mendes (lmendes@ubi.pt) is working at the University of Beira Interior (Portugal) as professor in the fields of Quality Management, and Production and Operations Management. He received his PhD in business at the University of Beira Interior, after a previous participation in the European Doctoral Program in Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management (in Barcelona – Spain and Växjö – Sweeden). His recent research interests include the general role of Stakeholders in quality management, the Human Resources strategic approach in managing change, and in public services management, and Quality management's role in sustainability. His research activities have been developed at the Advanced Studies in Management & Economics Research Center (CEFAGE-UBI), Covilhã, Portugal.
