Rui Rebelo has a PhD in Biology (Ecology e Biossistematics, 2002) and a Degree in Biology (Zoology, 1993) by Universidade
de Lisboa/Faculdade de Ciências. He is Associate Professor, Director of the Animal Facility and member of the following committees/boards
in Universidade de Lisboa Faculdade de Ciências: Executive committee of Centre for Ecology, Evolution and Environmental Changes,
ORBEA-FCUL (animal welfare) and scientific committee of the master course Conservation Biology. He published 87 articles in
journals with IF, 22 sections of books and 1 book, supervised 11 PhD theses and co-supervised 7, supervised 45 MSc dissertations
and co-supervised 31, and supervised or co-supervised 26 course completion of LSc/BSc. He participates and/or participated
as Principal investigator (PI) or Co-PI in 19 projects/contracts and member of team on another 25. Works in the areas of Natural
