M. Abdollahzadeh obtained PhD in Mech. Eng. (2015), from the Univ. of Beira Interior, PT. The subject of his PhD was focused on Numerical modeling of plasma actuators for flow control related to the EU project of MAAT. In this period, he was able to explore various aspects of the plasma discharges and their influence on flow control. From 2014 to 2016, He was Post-Doc researcher at LEPABE center of Univ. of Porto working on the development of advanced numerical models for simulation of Fuel cells, Redox flow batteries, methanol steam reforming, plasma catalysis and Experimental Characterization Fuel cells for EU Project FluidCell. In 2016, He joined C-MAST (Centre for Mechanical and Aerospace Science and Technologies) at UBI as Post-Doc Researcher working on Nationally funded project UNDULANT-Next to develop magneto-hydrodynamic plasma actuators for high speed flow control. In 2017, He was awarded a Post-Doc Scholarship from Iranian National Elite Foundation to start a research career in AmirKabir Univ. of Tech. on the subject of numerical simulation of electrochemical cells. In 2018, He joined Univ. of Guilan as an assistant professor in Fluid Mechanics, where he had given lectures on various subjects including Fluid Mechanics, Introduction to CFD for both graduate and undergraduate students. In 2019 he was granted a Junior Researcher contract from The Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) in the 1st edition of Stimulus of Scientific employment competition to pursue his research in the field of Plasma anti-icing systems in the C-MAST center. He is author of more than 45 indexed publications (SCOPUS, WOS) in high ranked journals with over 1750 citations, h-index of 26, more than 27 meeting communications, 1 book chapter and two national and international patents . He supervised more than 11 graduate and 13 Undergraduate students, indicative of scientific leadership, and 20 have already obtained the degree under his supervision, including 1 PhD, 6 MSc and 13 BSc. He has participated actively in more than 6 funded projects, and he is the Co-PI of UBI at the National project recently funded Connect5 (2023, https://connect5.pt/). He has been jury of various academic degrees and in the scientific committee of more than 39 journals and conferences (over 130 verified peer reviews). He is academic Editor of "Int. J. Energy research" (ISSN 1099-114X), board member of "Fluids" (ISSN 311-5521), Editorial board of Int. J. Renewable Energy Technol. (ISSN 1757-3971), had been a guest editor in "Energies" (ISSN 1996-1073), "Fluids" and "Actuators" had served as External reviewer for Chilean National Commission for Research. He was Member of Scientific committee of International congress ICEUBI2022.
