My domain of specialization focuses in the field of biological and chemical characterization of bioactive compounds in halophytes plants. I have experience in the study of halophytes plants to cosmetic, pharmaceutical and health applications, as well as in the cultivation of these halophytes cultivated in different concentrations of salinity and along several harvests using water from aquaculture or hidroponic system. My current research interests focus mainly on the three following topics: (1) Evaluation of nutritional characterization, (2) Funtional profile and (3) Optimization of cultivation systems: - Moisture, mineral composition, ash, fibers, total proteins, total lipids; - Phenolic compounds (including flavonoids and condensed tannins), vitamins, pigments; - Antioxidant, antidiabetic and neuroprotective activity; - Improvement of the cultivation systems of halophytes. I am a very enthusiastic, motivated, organised, autonomous and responsible student. I am able to be involved in multidisciplinary tasks, and to actively participate in teamwork. I have extensive complementary formation, as I have seven scientific paper, most of them in international journals in first quartile (Q1) and I have participated in various courses, conferences, seminars and workshops. I am fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish. I have computer skills for using standard software (Word; Excel; PowerPoint) and specialised software packages (Software R; GraphPad, Statistica, Statgraphics).
