Ivette Pacheco Leyva has a multidisciplinary education: a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering (UV, Mexico), a Master's degree in Biochemistry (UNAM, Mexico) and a PhD in Biomedical Sciences completed in 2015 at Universidade do Algarve at the Centro de Investigação em Biomedicina in Portugal.
