Francisca Isabel Alves da Silva Carvalhal completed the Master in Pharmaceutical Chemistry in 2017/09/07 at Universidade do Porto Faculdade de Farmácia and the Bachelor in Biochemistry in 2015/09/16 at Universidade do Porto Faculdade de Ciências. Attends the PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences at Universidade do Porto Faculdade de Farmácia. Francisca is a Research Collaborator at Universidade do Porto/ Centro Interdisciplinar de Investigação Marinha e Ambiental (CIIMAR). She is part of a StartUP project and was part of three projects, two Research fellow at CIIMAR within a FCT­funded project (PTDC/AAGTEC/0739/2014) and a Research Intership at Harvard Medical School within a FLAD call 2018 R&D@PhD internship grant – USA. Published three papers in high impact factor journals (average 4.16 impact factor) and Presented >10 communications in National and International conferences, one of which awarded as "Best Poster". Works in the areas of Exact and Natural Sciences, more specifically on Chemical Sciences with emphasis on Organic Chemistry and on Biological Sciences with emphasis on Marine Biology. In her curriculum Ciência Vitae the most frequent terms in the context of scientific and technological output are: Synthesis; Sulfated small-molecules; Antifouling.
