Rita Nunes Novo

Rita Nunes Novo is a research fellow (FCT/MCTES UIDB/05704/2020) at the Center for Innovative Care and Health Technology (ciTechCare) and an MSc graduate in Paediatric Nutrition from the Faculty of Nutrition and Food Sciences, University of Porto, completed in 2024. She has a Dietetics and Nutrition degree from the School of Health Sciences, Polytechnic Institute of Leiria, completed in 2021. Her research interests focus on pediatric nutrition, feeding disorders, avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID), and nutrition education. RN actively contributes to the Veggies4MyHeart Project, promoting vegetable knowledge and consumption among preschool children. RN has contributed to several posters and oral communications presented at national and international conferences, showcasing research on pediatric eating behaviors and nutrition education. Her current work also includes studying the prevalence and characteristics of ARFID and the effectiveness of educational tools to encourage healthier eating behaviors in early childhood.
