Research Assistant at Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon, specializing in control and automation within the field of marine technology and ocean engineering at the Centre for Marine Technology and Ocean Engineering (CENTEC). Currently pursuing a PhD focused on navigation system enhancement through the implementation of estimation-based algorithms, including the Unscented Kalman Filter (UKF), Extended Kalman Filter (EKF), and Kalman Filter (KF), with a specific emphasis on improving navigation data quality for autonomous vehicles, particularly ships. I hold a Master of Science degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from Sharif University of Technology, Iran (2015), and a Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from Persian Gulf University (2013). My academic contributions include four journal publications and two international conference papers, demonstrating a commitment to advancing knowledge within the field. Additionally, I have served as a reviewer for two papers published in the Journal of Ocean Engineering and the Journal of the Brazilian Society of Mechanical Sciences and Engineering. In recognition of my research, I was awarded the Austin Farrar Prize in 2019 by the Royal Institution of Naval Architects (RINA), United Kingdom, for our publication titled "Development of a mathematical model for performance prediction of a planing catamaran in calm water." My professional experience extends to the design and construction of sensor-based systems for marine vessels, including ship propulsion condition monitoring systems and small surface vessels at The Marine Research Center at Sharif University of Technology. Furthermore, I have conducted research in the mathematical modeling of ship maneuvering and have expertise in linear and nonlinear control strategies such as Linear Quadratic Regulator (LQR) and sliding mode control. I possess practical skills in sensor signal processing, including filtering techniques, and have hands-on experience implementing Linear Kalman Filter and Extended Kalman Filter methodologies at the Center for Innovation in Marine Engineering at Persian Gulf University. I am enthusiastic about tackling new challenges, particularly in the realms of model dynamic prediction and navigation systems. My interests lie in constructing data-driven models to better understand and explain the dynamics of nonlinear systems, with a focus on optimizing mathematical models to enhance control strategy performance.
