Diogo Gomes-Silva completed his PhD in Bioengineering- Cell Therapy and Regenerative Medicine in 2018 by University of Lisbon, Instituto Superior Técnico, a Master in Biomedical Research by University of Coimbra, Faculdade of Medicine and a Licenciatura (Bachelor) in Genetics and Biotechnology by University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro. During his PhD program he received extensive training in CAR T cell therapies at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston at Dr Malcolm K Brenner’ lab, a worldwide pioneer in cell therapy. In the last years his work has consisted in preclinical validation of genetically modified T cells as therapy for different hematologic tumors with published articles in scientific journals on this subject. He is now developing new CAR T cell therapies at Gulbenkian Institute for Molecular Medicine (former Institute of Molecular Medicine)
