Is Associate Professor in Universidade Nova de Lisboa Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia since december 2020. Focuses its scientific activity in the field of organic and biorganic analysis - advanced separation methods, covering a) the development of more efficient methods of analysis based on high resolution chromatography and efficiency associated with mass spectrometry, b) the implementation of analytical methodologies based on multidimensional analysis techniques for the characterization of complex matrices, c) the application of innovative and environmentally friendly sample preparation methods, and d) the application of methodologies for the characterization of high-value matrices for the national economy its internationalization. His work is translated into the orientation / co-orientation of students (doctoral orientations; 2 finished and 4 in progress: postdoctoral orientations; 3 finished; master's orientations; 17 finished and 3 in progress), in several articles and published book chapters (book chapters: 11; scientific referral publications: 66 - of which 5 submitted), with a total of 970 citations (Index-h: 19, WoK), being nationally and internationally recognized through invitations made for its oral presentation (47 oral communications), in national and international symposia and 116 panel presentations, collaborating in 9 ongoing projects (including 3 with companies). He is also a researcher at LAQV @ REQUIMTE
