Alexandra Teixeira graduated in Biology-Geology in 2016 and obtained her Master's degree in Health Sciences in 2018, at the Faculty of Medicine - University of Minho. Her master thesis was entitled "Crosstalk between glutaminolysis and autophagy in AML cells" where she mainly focused on the study of the metabolism of AML cell lines (glutaminolysis). In 2018-2020 she worked at INL, as a research associate, with her main research activities in the IMPAct-L project, funded by FCT. This project consisted of combination of different technologies, like Microfluidics, NGS and SERS, for the development of a microfluidic chip for isolation and concentration of AML blasts and respective molecular analyses. In addition, during this period at INL she has been involved in several other projects in different areas, where she explored different techniques and tools, as can be observed in the different publications in which Alexandra Teixeira is co-author. She is currently a FCT scholarship holder as a PhD student at the Faculty of Medicine - University of Minho and is developing her PhD thesis between INL, ICVS (Portugal) and CINBIO (Spain).
