Pedro Almeida Leitão has a PhD in History and is a researcher at CITCEM - Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Porto. His doctoral project, «Trademarks in Portugal (1883-1933)», was funded by a FCT grant. His work is focused on marketing practices in a business context in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. He was part of the «Made in Portugal: brands and designations of origin» project in which he studied the first 50 years of trademark registration in Portugal. His academic background also include the fields of Economics and Marketing.
