Susana Oliveira is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Humanities at Universidade Aberta, where she also serves as the Coordinator of the Bachelor's Degree in Applied Languages (2024–2027) and a Permanent Member of the Pedagogical Council (since 2020). She holds a PhD in English Literature and Culture from the Faculty of Arts of the University of Lisbon (2018) and a Master’s in English and American Studies from Universidade Aberta (2009). An integrated researcher at the Center for English Studies at the University of Lisbon (CEAUL/ULICES) and a collaborating researcher at LE@D - Distance Education and eLearning Laboratory, her research intersects early modern Anglo-Iberian diplomacy, English Studies (Literature and Culture), emotions in e-learning, and gamification in educational contexts. She has contributed to national and international research projects spanning Early Modern Diplomacy, Anglo-Iberian Relations, and Foreign Language Online Teaching.
