Cristina Sylla completed her PhD in Educational Technology in 2014 at the University of Minho, she has a Master in German/English Language and Literature from the University of Porto and a Master in Technology and Digital Art from the University of Minho. She is an Integrated Researcher [Principal Investigator] at the Research Centre in Child Studies - University of Minho. She has over 50 international publications in peer reviewed ISI conferences and Journals. She was general chair of the ACM International conference on Interaction Design and Children, IDC22, and part of the editorial board of the International Journal of Interaction Design and Children. She was general chair of 3 international EAI conferences, she is a member of the Steering Committee of the ACM conference on Interaction Design and Children. She is part of the scientific committee of several high ranked ACM, and Springer conferences. She has supervised 1 PhD thesis, 8 MSc dissertations and is currently supervising 2 MSc dissertations. She has received 9 awards and/or honors. Cristina Sylla is the Principal investigator the project OUT, Once Upon a Time: a Kit of Tools for Fostering Children¿s Development of Multiliteracies, Collaboration Skills, and Intercultural Sensitivity which is a continuation the project: MoBeyBOU: Moving Beyond Boundaries - Designing Narrative Learning in the Digital Era (mobeybou.com). As well as the ERASMUS + project Gamelet, gamified media based training of reading fluency (https://www.gamelet.eu). In her professional activities she has interacted with 70 collaborator(s) co-authorship of scientific papers. Her research interests are the conceptualisation, design and evaluation of technological innovative tools that foster playful learning and innovative teaching approaches targeting the development of children's digital literacy, collaboration and social skills as well as the development of the essential 21st century learning and innovation skills.
