Degree in Agricultural Technical Engineering (2005) and in Science and Technology of Food (2008), University of Vigo. In 2010, I obtained PhD degree in University of Vigo, and I was award an extraordinary doctorate award 2011 of University of Vigo. Throughout my postdoctoral career, I have spent 11 years in four different research centers. During the first year of PhD, I performed a stay of three months in Chemical Engineering Department of “Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona”. Later, I went to “Laboratorio Nacional de Energía y Geología” in Lisbon (3 months. We developed a new method of detoxification which was patented in Portugal. In 2011, I was awarded a Postdoctoral fellowship of “Ministerio de Education” of Spain for 16 months in Center of Biological Engineering of Minho University. In 2013, I obtained Postdoctoral fellowship of “FCT, Portugal” for three years in this center. In September 2016, I awarded a contract in a competitive process as faculty researcher financed by Regional program of Portugal “Norte 2020” for three years in Center of Biological Engineering, University of Minho. This contract is linked to a financed project. During these years, I have developed a new research line in the center about the valorization of agro-industrial wastes by solid-state fermentation. Through this line of research, I have published many papers about solid-state fermentation, I have been able to supervise master's and doctoral students and participate in research projects In addition, I have teaching in Department of Biological Engineering (University of Minho). In 2020, I was hired by Interdisciplinary Centre of Marine and Environmental Research (CIIMAR, Porto, Portugal), I can continue my research line in which the fermented agro-industrial wastes, the products obtained after SSF and of the extracted enzymes, were applied in practical diets for European seabass within the funded project to apply brewery and winery wastes previously treated using SSF to increase their nutritional value (POCI-01-0145-FEDER-030377 and MAR-02.01.01-FEAMP-0111). In 2021, I have started the “Beatriz Galindo” as distinguished researcher contract in the group Biotecnia at University of Vigo. During this stage, I have already obtained three projects, one project with a company (CO-0067-2021, funded with 75.850 euros, 2021-23), project of call “Generación del conocimiento 2021” (PID2021-122176OA-I00), funded with 151.250 euros, 2022-24), and a project of call “Consolidación investigadora 2023”, funded with 199.000 euros (2024-2026). Derived from my research career, I published 72 refereed papers in international scientific journal from 2009 to 2024, an H index of 25 and over 2334 citations, 27 papers were published in top 15% journals of their scientific area, 42 papers are in the first quartile, and 11 as corresponding author. I generated 3 patents (Spain and Portugal). One paper was awarded by Elsevier as “Highly Cited Research” in Trends in Food Science and Technology. I published 3 book chapters and I presented 49 communications and participate in conference (included plenary talks, oral presentations, extended communications and poster). In addition, I was awarded with 5 competitive contracts. I participated in 13 competitive research projects (4 as principal researcher), 7 international projects and 3 projects of private companies. Moreover, I have a teaching experience in degree and postgraduate from 2011 to 2023 in University of Vigo and University of Minho (640 hours). Additionally, I supervised 15-degree students and 4 master students, and 1 PhD student. Now, I am supervising 6 PhD students, 2 contracted researchers. I am regularly acting as referee in several international scientific journals. I participated in a master thesis committee.
