Patrícia Sá holds an MA in Comparative Studies awarded by the School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon, with a dissertation on literary echoes of Frankenstein, monstrosity, and transhumanism. She is a full member of the Centre for Comparative Studies of the same institution, and a collaborator of the University of Lisbon Centre for English Studies. Currently, she is a PhD student of Modern Literatures, Arts, and Cultures, and is preparing a thesis on emotion and literary creation in J. R. R. Tolkien's works. Some of her research interests include Gothic literature, fantasy fiction, monsters, and posthumanism. In addition, she is a fiction author, and has participated in two award-winning anthologies. She also writes about Portuguese folklore for Fábrica do Terror.

2023/05/23 - 2023/05/26 "The Road goes ever on and on: Commemorating J.R.R. Tolkien (1892-1973)" set to celebrate the works of Tolkien, 50 years after the author's death. It brought together scholars, fans, and enthusiasts to explore the rich and complex world of Middle-earth, as well as Tolkien's wider literary and cultural legacy. In addition to the keynote speeches, the conference also offered a range of other activities and events. These included an exhibition, a trivia quiz, a tabletop Roleplaying session, film showings, round tables, and vocal performances. (2023/05/23 - 2023/05/26)

2021/12 - 2022/06/22 "Nosferatu: 100 Anos de Terror" aimed to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the one of the most iconic films of German Expressionism and Horror Cinema: "Nosferatu, eine Symphonie des Grauens," by F. W. Murnau (1922). This event was born out of a collaboration between the Centre for the Comparative Studies and the Germanistics Department of the School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon, and it sought to create a space of artistic expression, critical discussion, and interaction between the audience and the film.
